Elisabeth Binder

Elisabeth Binder was born in 1951 in Bürglen, in the Swiss canton of Thurgau. She studied German and art history in Zurich, first working as a teacher and later as a literary critic for the arts and culture section of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. From 1994 onward, she worked as a freelance writer. Her novel Sommergeschichte was published by Klett-Cotta in 2004. Binder received the Medal of the Swiss Schiller Foundation and the sponsorship award associated with the Mörike Prize.
