Bernhard Widder, born in Linz in 1955, is a writer, architect, and exhibition curator. He has published poetry, essays, translations, anthologies, and monographs on the work of Bauhaus artist Herbert Bayer. His books include *Herbert Bayer: Architektur, Skulptur, Landschaftsgestaltung* (2000) and *Ahoi Herbert! Bayer und die Moderne* (2009), co-authored with Elisabeth Nowak-Thaller. He has also lectured on earthen architecture and the Austrian Iran researcher Alfons Gabriel.
