Christian Handel

Christian Handel was born in Lohr am Main, Germany, and initially worked as a blogger and freelance journalist covering books and speculative fiction. In 2017, he published his debut novel, “Rosen & Knochen,” which he described as a dark fairy tale. His work draws on fairy-tale motifs, strong female characters, and queer themes. The anthology “Hinter Dornenhecken und Zauberspiegeln,” which he edited, received the German Phantastik Prize in 2017. His books have been nominated several times for the SERAPH, and his debut was nominated in 2018. Handel is also known for his enthusiasm for the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
