Bettina Bach

Bettina Bach, born in Heilbronn, Germany, in 1965, grew up in Germany and France. After training at a publishing school in Paris, she studied German literature in Berlin and cultural studies in Amsterdam, where she also worked in publishing. From 2002, she translated literary works as well as children’s and young adult books from Dutch and French. In 2014, she received the Else Otten Prize for her translation of Arjan Visser’s novel *Der blaue Vogel kehrt zurück*. The authors she translated include Tommy Wieringa, Jan Siebelink, Bart Moeyaert, and Toon Tellegen.
