Bernd Schwibs

Bernd Schwibs (born 1945) is a German translator and editor. He worked, among other positions, at the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme, Suhrkamp Verlag, and the journals Psyche and Westend. As a translator from French, he translated works by authors including Pierre Bourdieu, Paul Valéry, and Gilles Deleuze. In 2004, he received the Wilhelm Merton Prize for European Translations.
