Jean-Philippe Toussaint

Jean-Philippe Toussaint, born in 1957, is a Belgian writer, screenwriter, director, and photographer. He made his literary debut in 1985 with the novella *The Bathroom*, which was a major success. His later novels include *The USB Stick*, *The Emotions*, and *The Disappearance of the Landscape*. Toussaint was also a junior world champion in Scrabble.
