Aurelia Wyleżyńska (1881–1944) was a writer and reporter. She studied literature and philosophy in Kraków and later worked, among other places, in Paris, where she hosted a literary salon and wrote for Polish newspapers. She also wrote novels and short stories. In 1937, she moved to Warsaw. During the German occupation, she wrote for the Polish underground press, worked in hospitals, supported Jewish friends, and organized literary evenings. She died from a gunshot wound on August 3, 1944.
