Anja Kiel

Anja Kiel (born 1973) studied art history, philosophy and applied cultural studies in Münster. After working, among other things, as a museum guide—including at the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex—and as a journalist, she turned to writing books for children. From 2009 onward, she published children’s books and began working as a full-time author in 2010. She has written more than 30 books, some of which have been translated into other languages. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a painter or dancer.
