Andreas Thamm

Andreas Thamm was born in Bamberg in 1990 and studied creative writing and cultural journalism in Hildesheim. He has published three novels, including the young adult novel “Heldenhaft” (2020) and “Wenn man so will, waren es die Aliens” (2021). He has also worked as a journalist and contributed to city magazines and newspapers including taz, DIE ZEIT, Der Spiegel and fluter. In 2020, he received an award or grant from the Free State of Bavaria for his literary and journalistic work, followed by the City of Nuremberg’s cultural award in 2021. He collaborated with climber Alex Megos on a book about Megos’s life and brought a play to the stage in Nuremberg.
