Alain Ehrenberg, born in 1950, is a sociologist and emeritus research director at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), where he worked at the Cermes3 research centre. In 2001, he founded the Research Centre for Pharmaceuticals, Mental Health and Society, a joint institution of the CNRS, Inserm and Paris Descartes University.
