Wilfried Engemann

Wilfried Engemann (born 1959) is a German Protestant theologian and professor of practical theology. After working as an assistant at the Theological Seminary in Leipzig, he became a Privatdozent at the University of Greifswald in 1989. From 1994 to 2011, he held the chair of practical theology at the University of Münster; he subsequently taught at the Institute of Practical Theology and Religious Psychology at the Protestant Theological Faculty of the University of Vienna. His research focuses include religious communication processes, pastoral care, homiletics, liturgy, and concepts of the human being in theology and the church. He has authored and edited numerous publications and was a co-editor of the journal Wege zum Menschen. His notable works include Einführung in die Homiletik.
