Walter M Weiss

Walter M. Weiss, born in Vienna in 1961, studied history, journalism and political science. After working for several years as editor-in-chief of well-known magazines, he became a freelance writer and photographer. Since 1990, he has published numerous travel and nonfiction books, focusing on the Islamic world, South and East Asia, and Austrian and Central European cultural history. He has written more than 80 books and also worked as a study-tour guide. His publications include books on Iran, Arab countries, China, Burma, Vietnam and Austria.
