Matthias Gruber

Matthias Gruber was born in Vienna in 1984 and grew up in Salzburg. He studied theatre studies and worked in reception, online marketing and at an emergency shelter. Gruber was a co-founder of the Salzburg city magazines fraeuleinflora.at and QWANT. His debut novel, “Die Einsamkeit der ersten ihrer Art,” was published in 2024 and received the Rauris Literature Prize that same year.
