Volker Fredrich

Volker Fredrich was born in 1966 in Mühldorf am Inn, Bavaria. After completing teacher training, he studied illustration at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, including under Rüdiger Stoye. Fredrich co-founded the “Atelier 9” studio collective in Hamburg and worked as a freelance illustrator for German children’s and schoolbook publishers from 1996 onward.
