Verena Auffermann

Verena Auffermann, born in Höxter in 1944, completed a bookselling apprenticeship and studied art history. She worked as a literary and cultural critic for publications including Frankfurter Rundschau, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Die Zeit, as well as for radio and cultural programmes. She also worked as an editor, lecturer, moderator and jury member. Her publications include the literary studies volume “100 Autorinnen in Porträts. Von Atwood bis Sappho, von Adichie bis Zeh” and a photographic biography of Henry James.
