Uladsimir Kalesnik (1922–1994) was a Belarusian literary scholar and writer. He was born in a village that at the time belonged to Poland and completed his studies at the Pedagogical Institute in Minsk in 1949. After postgraduate study, he taught at the pedagogical institutes in Bobruisk and later Brest. In 1942, he joined the partisans. From 1970 to 1973, he accompanied Ales Adamovich and Janka Bryl as a photographer while they conducted interviews in 147 Belarusian villages destroyed by fire during the Second World War.
