Tobias D. Krafft worked at the Algorithm Accountability Lab in the Department of Computer Science at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern. His research has focused on the analysis of algorithmic decision-making systems, black-box analysis, their regulation, and the broader social debate surrounding their use. In October 2019, the German Institute for Standardization (DIN) appointed him head of the “Ethics/Responsible AI” working group as part of its AI standardization roadmap. In 2017, he received the Weizenbaum Prize from the Forum of Computer Scientists for Peace and Social Responsibility.
