Tobi Dahmen

Tobi Dahmen, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1971, grew up in Wesel on the Rhine and studied visual communication in Düsseldorf. He completed his degree with the illustrated book “Poetry and All That Jazz,” based on a text by Jack Kerouac. He subsequently worked as a comic artist and illustrator for a range of clients. His work received, among other distinctions, the ICOM Award for Best Short Comic and the Red Dot Design Award. His story “Fahrradmod,” first published as a webcomic, appeared in book form from Carlsen in 2015. In 2024, he published the graphic novel “Columbusstraße,” which explores his family’s history during and after the Second World War.
