Thomas Bodmer

Thomas Bodmer was born in Zurich in 1951. He studied English, German and comparative literature but left university to work as an editor at Diogenes Verlag, later joining Haffmans Verlag. Until 1992, he supervised, among other projects, the first German translations of works by Julian Barnes. He subsequently worked as a journalist and translator of adult and children’s books. Together with the author Jon Klassen, he received the German Youth Literature Prize twice.
