Sebastian Schmitz

Sebastian Schmitz, born in 1978, grew up in Essen, Germany. After beginning a degree in geography, his interest in travel led him to aviation, and he worked as a flight attendant for a major German airline. Alongside this work, he wrote articles and books about airlines and airports around the world, particularly for English-language magazines. His interest in aviation began in childhood, influenced in part by his family home’s proximity to the flight path of Düsseldorf Airport.
