Dirk Hallenberger

Dirk Hallenberger, born in Velbert in 1955, is a Germanist and holds a doctorate. He has published works on the language and literary history of the Ruhr region, as well as on the city of Essen. His publications include “In Sachen Stadtschaft” (2022) and several books of reportage, stories, and autobiographical texts about the Ruhr. He has also edited volumes on the region’s literature and culture.
