Sarah Rees Brennan

Sarah Rees Brennan is an Irish author of young adult and fantasy fiction. She grew up in Ireland and spent periods in New York and England after school, where she studied creative writing. She became known both for her solo novels and for her collaboration with Cassandra Clare on the Shadowhunter saga. As a student, she reportedly preferred secretly reading books by Jane Austen, Margaret Mahy and Diana Wynne Jones rather than following her lessons.
