Cassandra Clare

Cassandra Clare (born in Tehran in 1973) is an author of fantasy novels for young adults. She spent her early childhood in France, England and Switzerland and first became known as a fan-fiction writer. In 2007, »City of Bones«, the first volume in her successful series »The Mortal Instruments«, was published. The series has been translated into numerous languages and adapted for film and television. Her other notable works include »The Infernal Devices« and »The Dark Artifices«. Her books have sold more than 50 million copies worldwide.
