Maureen Johnson is the author of numerous young adult novels and has written several New York Times bestsellers. Her notable works include the Ellingham Academy series and the Shades of London trilogy. She has also contributed to collaborative projects with John Green and Cassandra Clare, including Days Like This and The Bane Chronicles. Johnson studied playwriting and creative writing at Columbia University. Her novels have received nominations for honors including the Edgar Award and the Andre Norton Award.
