Sabine Gruber, born in Merano in 1963, is an Austrian writer. She studied German, history and political science and worked as a university lecturer in Venice from 1988 to 1992. She has published novels, short stories, poetry, radio plays and plays, including “Aushäusige,” “Die Zumutung,” “Über Nacht,” “Stillbach oder Die Sehnsucht,” “Daldossi oder Das Leben des Augenblicks” and “Die Dauer der Liebe.” Her work has received numerous awards and grants, including the Anton Wildgans Prize, the Veza Canetti Prize of the City of Vienna and the Austrian Art Prize for Literature.
