Renate Folkers

Renate Folkers was born in 1950 on Nordstrand in North Frisia and grew up speaking Low German. After training as an administrative clerk, she worked in public service for 25 years. She began writing in 2009. Her publications include the North Sea crime novels “Der Tote hinter dem Knick” (2014) and “Ein Grab auf Sylt” (2016), as well as the Low German crime novel “Keen Utweg” (2017). She also wrote short stories and poetry.
