Reinhard Karger

Reinhard Karger (born 1961) is a German linguist and philosopher. He studied theoretical linguistics and philosophy in Wuppertal, earning an M.A. He subsequently worked as an assistant at the Chair of Computational Linguistics at Saarland University. In 1993, he joined the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Saarbrücken, where he became corporate spokesperson in 2011. His fields of interest include theoretical linguistics, artificial intelligence, the philosophy of consciousness, digital innovation culture, and the history of science.
