Andreas Eschbach (born 1959 in Ulm) is a German author. He studied aerospace engineering in Stuttgart and initially worked as a software developer before turning to writing full-time. He became known for the thriller “The Jesus Video,” followed by its 2014 sequel “The Jesus Deal.” His other novels include “One Trillion Dollars,” “Burnout,” “A King for Germany,” and “NSA: National Security Authority.” His work also includes novels for younger readers, including the “Black*Out” trilogy. His first adult novel received the Science Fiction Club Germany’s literary award; his work has also been translated into numerous languages and received further awards. As a teenager, Eschbach was an enthusiastic Perry Rhodan reader and later wrote several guest novels in the series.
