Rainer Bielfeldt

Rainer Bielfeldt (born 1964 in Hamburg) is a German composer, musician, author and audio-drama director. He studied piano, clarinet and saxophone, and from 1985 studied music education with piano as his main subject, as well as chanson at the Hamburg University of Music. He worked as a composer and musical director for theatres and independent music projects, and composed such children’s musicals as *Eine Woche voller Samstage* and *Pippi in Taka-Tuka-Land*. He wrote 13 family musicals and was involved in the music, direction and production of more than 30 audio dramas and albums for children. He also became known for his long-standing collaboration with chanson singer Tim Fischer, whom he accompanied on piano.
