Rainer Bielfeldt, born in Hamburg in 1964, is a composer, musician, author and audio-drama director. He studied piano, clarinet and saxophone, and from 1985 studied music education with piano as his main subject as well as chanson at the Hamburg University of Music. Bielfeldt composed music for the stage and served as musical director for musicals and revues, including at the Landesbühne Niedersachsen Nord and the Staatstheater Hannover. His works include the children’s musicals “Eine Woche voller Samstage” and “Pippi in Taka-Tuka-Land”. He also developed chanson programs with performers including Tim Fischer and Gayle Tufts and released several albums. He composed 13 family musicals and contributed to the music, direction and production of more than 30 children’s audio dramas and albums.
