Rafael Albuquerque

Rafael Albuquerque, born in 1981 in Porto Alegre, Brazil, initially worked in advertising before pursuing a career as a comic book artist and writer. He gained international recognition for the series »American Vampire«, written by Scott Snyder and Stephen King. His other work includes contributions to »Batman«, »All-Star Batman«, »Detective Comics«, »Batgirl«, »Animal Man«, »Huck«, and »Prodigy«, as well as »Hit-Girl in Rome«. He also wrote and illustrated the science-fiction comic »Ei8ht«. His work has earned him, among other honors, an Eisner Award and a Harvey Award.
