Norbert Brieden

Norbert Brieden (born 1968) is a Catholic theologian and Germanist. He studied Catholic theology, German studies, and philosophy in Cologne, Bonn, Bochum, and Paderborn, and holds doctorates in theology and philosophy. Brieden was a professor of religious education, catechetics, and the didactics of Catholic religious instruction at the University of Wuppertal. His research interests include constructivist religious education, philosophy of science, university and biblical didactics, literature in religious instruction, and textbook development.
