Natasa Dragnic

Nataša Dragnić was born in 1965 in Split, Croatia. She studied German and Romance languages and literature in Zagreb, where she subsequently completed diplomatic training. From 1994 onward, she worked in Erlangen as a freelance teacher of foreign languages and literature and as an author. Her debut novel, “Jeden Tag, jede Stunde,” was published in 2011 and translated into around 30 languages. It was followed by “Immer wieder das Meer” (2013), “Der Wind war es” (2016), and “Einatmen, Ausatmen” (2017). Dragnić received, among other distinctions, the IHK Culture Prize of the City of Nuremberg (2012), the August Graf von Platen Förderpreis (2013), and Italy’s Premio Fondazione Francesco Alziator (2013).
