Root Leeb

Root Leeb, born in Würzburg in 1955, studied German, philosophy and social pedagogy. She first worked for two years as a German teacher for foreigners and then for six years as a tram driver in Munich before becoming a freelance writer, painter and illustrator. Her publications include “Mittwoch Frauensauna” (2001), “Tramfrau. Aufzeichnungen und Abenteuer der Straßenbahnfahrerin Roberta Laub” (2003), “Hero. Impressionen einer Familie” (2012), “Die dicke Dame und andere kurze Geschichten” (2013), and “Don Quijotes Schwester” (2015). She also illustrated and designed numerous books and book covers.
