Narges Mohammadi (born 1972) is an Iranian human rights activist and journalist. She studied physics, initially worked as an engineer, and later wrote for reform-oriented newspapers. Her advocacy for women’s and human rights and against the death penalty led to repeated imprisonments. In 2023, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
