Michael Hampe

Michael Hampe, born in Hannover in 1961, studied philosophy in Heidelberg and Cambridge and biology in Heidelberg. He taught at the universities of Dublin, Kassel, and Bamberg before becoming a professor of philosophy at ETH Zurich in 2003. In 1994, he received the Gerhard Hess Research Award from the German Research Foundation. His publications include Tunguska oder Das Ende der Natur (2011), Die Lehren der Philosophie (2014), and Die Wildnis, die Seele, das Nichts. Über das wirkliche Leben (2020).
