Michael Diers

Michael Diers is a German art historian. He held professorships in art history at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts and at the Institute of Art and Visual History at Humboldt University of Berlin. His research focuses included Renaissance, modern and contemporary art, as well as political iconography. His publications include the edited volumes *Focus on BLOW-UP. Die Gegenwart der Bilder bei Antonioni* (2018) and *O Superman. Gedanken über Film Kunst, Politik (und Lehre)* (2019), as well as *Gegen den Strich. Die Kunst und ihre politischen Formen* (2023).
