Michael Bayer

Michael Bayer was born in 1971 in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance. He studied visual communication, graphic design and illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster. After a brief period in advertising, he began working as a freelance illustrator for children’s book publishers in 2001. Bayer was a founding member of the Hafenstraße 64 artists’ collective in Münster, where he worked until 2010. Numerous children’s books and games have featured his illustrations.
