Michael Petrowitz

Michael Petrowitz was born in Berlin in 1972 and studied at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb). From 2000 onward, he worked as a freelance screenwriter and, from 2008, also as a lecturer in screenwriting and dramaturgy. He was a scholarship holder at the Munich Screenwriting Workshop and a participant in the Academy for Children’s Media. In 2005, he received the Robert Geisendörfer Prize in the children’s television category. In 2017, his early-reader adventure Kung-Fu im Turnschuh received the Preuschhof Prize for Children’s Literature.
