Thilo

THiLO, born in Gelsenkirchen in 1970, studied journalism and German studies in Münster. From 1999 onward, he wrote screenplays for television series including *Bibi & Tina*, *Schloss Einstein*, *Sesamstraße* and *Siebenstein*. In 2003, he published his first book featuring a hero of his own creation. More than 350 books by him have since been published and translated into 25 languages. Before becoming a children’s author, THiLO performed with the cabaret group Die Motzbrocken and worked in radio and television. He spent much of his childhood in his parents’ bookshop.
