Matthias Wieland, born in 1969, studied in Hildesheim and initially worked for Dino Verlag before becoming a freelance editor and translator. His translations include “The Simpsons,” “Futurama,” “Peanuts,” “Calvin and Hobbes,” “Hilda,” and “The Moomins.” As a comics editor, he worked on titles including “Ariol,” “Donjon,” and “Lucky Luke.” Wieland also appeared as a presenter and musician and performed comic readings accompanied by music.
