Oliver Jahraus (born 1964) is a German scholar of German literature, culture and media. Since 2005, he has held the chair of modern German literature and media at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. His research areas include literary, media and cultural theory, semiotics, systems theory, the avant-garde, poetry and, in particular, Franz Kafka. His publications include “Literaturtheorie. Theoretische und methodische Grundlagen der Literaturwissenschaft” (2004) and “Franz Kafka. Leben, Schreiben, Machtapparate” (2006).
