Charles M. Schulz

Charles M. Schulz (1922–2000) was an American comic artist. In 1950, he published the first strip of “Peanuts,” the series featuring Charlie Brown and Snoopy that became his life’s work. The series was later adapted into animated films and a Broadway musical. Schulz reportedly never liked the name “Peanuts.” The final strip was published on February 13, 2000, one day after his death. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously.
