Mathias Binswanger, Dr. rer. pol., is an economist and happiness researcher. He taught economics at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland and completed his habilitation at the University of St. Gallen. His research has focused on macroeconomics, financial market theory, environmental economics, and the relationship between happiness and income.
