Markus Rahaus

Markus Rahaus was born in 1970 in Herten-Westerholt, North Rhine-Westphalia. After studying biology at Ruhr University Bochum, he earned his doctorate and habilitation in virology at the Private University of Witten/Herdecke. He subsequently worked first as a university lecturer and later in the pharmaceutical industry. Alongside his scientific career, he pursued photography, publishing numerous contributions in specialist magazines and the 2014 photo and nature guide “Nördliches Cuxland: Weltnaturerbe Wattenmeer – Küstenheide – Hochmoor.” From 2018 onward, Rahaus published several crime novels, incorporating his expertise in virology. His later works include “Mordlinie” (2023) and “Operation Sturmflut” (2024).
