Mariarosa Dalla Costa

Mariarosa Dalla Costa is an Italian Marxist-feminist philosopher and activist. In the 1970s, she co-initiated the international “Wages for Housework” campaign with Silvia Federici, Selma James and others, placing the social reproduction of life at the center of feminist and political debate. Dalla Costa was also involved in Italy’s operaismo movement. Since the 1970s, she has published work on capitalism, globalization, reproduction and feminism. She most recently taught at the University of Padua.
