Angela Davis

Angela Y. Davis worked as a political activist, author, and speaker and taught at the University of California, where she became professor emerita. Since the 1970s, she has been regarded as a prominent figure in the movement for the rights of political prisoners in the United States. Her work has focused in particular on opposing racial, gender-based, and class discrimination, as well as the prison-industrial complex in the United States.
