Marianne Schneider

Born in Munich, Marianne Schneider worked as a translator from Italian and French. She translated works by, among others, Anna Maria Ortese, Giacomo Leopardi, and Alberto Vigevani. She also worked at the European School of Literary Translation in Florence. In 2009, she received the German-Italian Translator’s Prize for her lifetime achievement.
