Roberto Calasso

Roberto Calasso (1941–2021) was an Italian writer, essayist, cultural philosopher, and publisher of the Milan-based Adelphi Edizioni. His literary work included The Ruin of Kasch, The Marriage of Cadmus and Harmony, Ka, K., Tiepolo Pink, Baudelaire’s Revenge, The Burning, and The Celestial Hunter. His books were translated into numerous languages and received many awards.
