Maria Meinel

Maria Meinel (born 1972 in Meißen, Germany) studied literary scholarship. She worked as a freelance author, editor, lecturer and moderator, as well as a translator from English, Spanish and Catalan. Her translations include literary and nonfiction works, including prose and poetry. In her own writing, she focused primarily on art and photography; her publications include the book “Semjon Prosjak. Fotografien” (2022). Her translation work received grants and fellowships from institutions including the German Translators’ Fund, the Berlin Senate for Culture and Europe, the Kloster Bergesche Foundation and the Arts Foundation of Saxony-Anhalt.
