Margit Brinke

Dr. Margit Brinke is a trained archaeologist with a doctorate who worked as a freelance author and journalist. Together with Dr. Peter Kränzle, she published nearly 100 books on travel, sport and culture over the course of her career, with a particular focus on the United States and North America. Their books published by Iwanowski’s Reisebuchverlag include “USA East Coast,” “USA Northeast,” “USA West,” “USA Northwest,” “USA Texas/Midwest” and “Rome.” In May 2018, Brinke and Kränzle received the Travel Writer Award at IPW, the major American tourism event, in Denver.
